How do I find a 5-letter word with missing letters?
This page starts with 5 positions. Fill confirmed letters and leave unknown positions empty. Add required or excluded letters to narrow the matches. New puzzle restores the 5-letter preset.

WORDLE SOLVER
Enter the clues already on your board to find words that fit. Wattle Puzzle Helpers works from your letters and never retrieves or reveals a daily answer.
Clear keeps the length. New puzzle resets to 5 letters.
Add at least one clue to see matching words.
Common-list words come first. Within each group, words covering letters found in more of the remaining matches rank higher; fixed letters do not add to the score. This is a useful-guess guide, not the probability of an answer. Each game uses its own accepted word list.

Suggestions come from a general dictionary and do not retrieve or reveal a daily answer. About our dictionary.
SPELLING BEE HELPER
Enter the centre letter and the six outer letters from the board you are playing.
CONNECTIONS HELPER
Type one word into each tile, or paste a comma- or line-separated list into any tile.
A match is a prompt to think, not confirmation that it is one of the intended groups.
STRANDS HELPER
Enter each row of the grid on a new line. The finder looks for dictionary words through touching letters.
This finder does not know the theme, spangram, or official word set.
SUDOKU HELPER
Paste nine rows of nine digits. Use 0 or . for an empty square.
EXPLORE HELPERS
Use known positions and letter clues to find words from four to ten letters.
Choose a word length from four to ten letters, add letters in their confirmed positions, and add any letters that must or cannot appear. The finder searches its local dictionary for words that fit those clues.
Use the possible words to decide what to try next. The helper is deliberately clue-based: it does not know which puzzle you are playing or what its daily answer is. For a five-letter puzzle with E confirmed in the last position, explore 5-letter words ending in E to narrow your next guess.
The solver includes guides for using the helper, strategy, repeated letters, and zero results. They are available beside the controls when you need them.
Suppose a five-letter guess confirms S in the first position and E in the last, with R somewhere else. Enter S and E in those Known letters boxes and R in Must include. SHARE is one possible match. A yellow R also tells you where R cannot go: use the position exclusions for that clue.
A grey letter should only go in Cannot include when no other copy of that letter was green or yellow in the same guess.
These are illustrative clues, not a daily puzzle answer. Each game decides which words it accepts.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
This page starts with 5 positions. Fill confirmed letters and leave unknown positions empty. Add required or excluded letters to narrow the matches. New puzzle restores the 5-letter preset.
Use Letter counts to set a minimum or maximum number of copies. A known position fixes one copy in that position; it does not rule out another copy elsewhere. Wrong positions lets you exclude a letter from a particular position.
No. It filters a dictionary using the clues you enter. The familiar five-letter group comes from a fixed historical list, not a live daily-answer feed. A suggested word is not a confirmed answer.
Each game chooses its own accepted-word list. These helpers use a general English dictionary that includes uncommon words, so a match is not a guarantee that your game accepts it.
